Side 2: Straight Ahead; Astro Man; Angel; In From the Storm; Belly Button Window. Label/Format: Track – intense matt black finish (Please see my label scan). Label Conditions: Both in super condition: very clean, fresh and attractive with only a couple of three small and light spindle marks and no wear around the hole area. Another quality record from the hardly played collection recently purchased, one owner from new. Cat Number: 2408101. Mode / Speed: Stereo / 33.3 rpm. Warps: Assume all records I offer have no warping of any significance and all tracking is easy and effortless and should play on all turntables and even ‘budget’ decks. Weight of this Record: 113 grams. Around the average for it’s era. Country of Manufacture: England. Rarity: Scarcer as a first issue on Track. Most seen are Polydor repressings. Original Year of Release: 1971 Matrix Nos: 2408101 A // 1 1 1 1 9 & 2408101 B // 1 1 1 2 0 Musicians: Jimi Hendrix – lead vocals, guitars, backing vocals, piano; Billy Cox – bass; Mitch Mitchell – drums; Juma Sultan – percussion; Buddy Miles – drums; Noel Redding – bass. Brief Info: The first album issued after the death of this iconic guitar genius. It features songs written at the back end of the 60s to the mid part of 1970. It sold well and features a lovely graphic on the cover. This copy, a UK Track original is in super condition and is sure delight most fans of the legend. Cover Grade and Format: MINT(-): an unlaminated gatefold format with matt, smooth surfaces. Printed and made in England by the E. J. Day Group. Cover Front: Stunning artwork in stunning condition. This look practically pristine as made and finding a better one will prove nigh-on impossible. Cover Back: Also in super condition: any rub traces are hardly even register. Very fresh and attractive with no ringwear and barely a crease to be seen. Cover Inner Gatefold: Again, both sides practically as made. Top Edges: Any rub traces are tiny, few and very faint. Bottom Edges: As above. Right Edge(s), and Type: Clean, very sharp with no wear and guaranteed untrimmed. Record enters on the back edge. Spine and Text: Again in fantastic condition. Solid, straight, uncompressed and folded square, the edges meet up very closely together and parallel. A very slight tilt to the left being ultra critical. All text is perfect and unworn and the surface has barely any rub traces at all. Corners: Any tip rubs are tiny and faint and all retain excellent shape. Cover Summary: A hugely attractive all-round example of this somewhat wear-prone early 70’s cover, one that will prove immensely difficult to find better. This beautiful item should please most-all collectors. The Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT: only marked down a little for mild age darkening. This mostly on the edges from the seam adhesive. Two very neat and mostly very crisp window circles and solid and very clear polylining. Barely any creasing and all edges unsplit with no repairs. Vinyl Condition/Visual Grading: MINT(-): a superb visual copy that is very clean, shiny, intense black and solidly pressed. A copy hardly played on all the evidence, and then with utmost care on a quality stereo system, any surface trace marks very few and ultra light and faint. Visually a super record that should please most-all collectors again. Album Played For Grading: Yes.
