RARE JO JO HORSMAN DOLL AFRICAN AMERICAN BLACK ORIG CLOTHES UFDC WINNERDescription :This adorable little African American girl was made by Horsman in 1937. Her name is Jo Jo and she is marked accordingly on the back of her neck.Jo Jo is just about as good of condition as you could ever hope to get. Her composition has no splits, cracks or breaks. Some light crazing noticeable with magnification and tight hairline on left arm. Lovely facial coloring with one little rub to paint on lips. Her molded hair is perfect. Her brown sleep eyes retain all of their lashes and work properly.Jo Jo is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. She stands 11 1/2" tall. Her original clothes and under romper are crisp - bright with no stains or tears. Same is true of matching bonnet. She wears her original shoes and socks.This doll was entered in competition in the 2004 United Doll Federation annual Show. She came home with a red ribbon which will be included. Doll has been carefully stored in a smoke free environment.A very hard to find doll sure to make an impact on just about any doll collection.Thanks for your interest.
