AN ORIGINAL JOAN CRAWFORD FULL SIGNATURE ON A 7-14-1953 LETTER FROM PARAMOUNT PICTURES CORPORATION TO JOAN CRAWFORD, CANCELLING HER CONTRACT FOR AN APPEARANCE AS AN ACTRESS IN THE FILM "LISBON" . THE LETTER IS ACKNOWLEDGED WITH JOAN CRAWFORD'S FULL SIGNATURE AND IS ADDRESSED TO HER:

Miss Joan Crawford

Hollywood, California.

Referring to your emplyment agreement between you and the undersigned corporation, pursuant to which you were to render your services in the motion picture photoplay tentatively entitled LISBON (which employment agreement is reflected in a written document dated May 13, 1953 but never signed), this will confirm our understanding as follows:

Your employment agreement is by cancelled with the same force and effect as if said agreement had never been entered into in the first instance. Both you and the undersigned corporation are by forever released and discharged of all obligations and liabilities pursuant to and in connection with said employment agreement.

If the foregoing correctly sets forth our understanding, kindly signify your acceptance tof in the space inbelow provided.

The letter has been kept flat and unfolded - it does have what appears to have been a piece of tape affixed to the back of the letter that has since bled through - but it does not touch or detract from the full signature. See full letter photo. The JOAN CRAWFORD signature is large and bold and in blue ink. All signature appear to be in fountain pen ink.
