Hello & welcome to this auction for a mixed job lot of Matchbox models in a collector case which is in superb condition. Some are in mint condition, all are in generally very good condition. An identical model of the Mercedes 300 SE is for sale on Ebay (with the wrong issue box) for £95 so there is MASSIVE potential for profit but I really dont have the time to list these individually as I have been selling this collection for the past 7 months on behalf of someone else & it really has taken up far too much of my time & I need to concentrate on projects that need to be done around the home before winter. This is a great lot for the collector with a REALISTIC RESERVE price so great potential for profit if you have the time to list individually!!! Firstly, an explanation of the reason this item is for sale. This item was part of a huge collection which belonged to my Father in law who sadly passed away last year. He was a car enthusiast who never actually had a driving licence due to a medical condition & fuelled his passion by collecting models. He had a particular passion for Jaguar, Which after seeing the collection in his office, I thought that was all he collected. However on clearing the garage in able to accomodate the car during the recent winter conditions, my Mother in law (who always did the driving) came across a huge collection of models we never knew existed! We assume they were from either his own childhood or his son's considering the age span of the collection. His son did not want the models so my Mother in law has asked me to sell the collection on her behalf. The collection consists of Matchbox, Corgi, Dinky, Lledo plus many more very rare models which will be listed over the coming weeks. Also to be listed in the near future are countless larger scale Jaguars, Ferrari's, Bugatti's including some VERY RARE & exquisite limited edition models which are strictly for the serious collector. No rips or tears apart from a 3mm split in the rear corner which you have to look closely to notice. The print on the front panel is still crisp & clear. The clear cover over the front panel is intact with no splits or tears but is a little wrinkled with age. No.46: Mercedes 300 SE. 100% Mint condition. No.36: Opel Diplomat. 99% Mint (very minor surface scratch on boot lid) No.31: Lincoln Continental. 99% Mint (very minor surface scratch on roof) No number on base: Jaguar XK120. Mint condition.
