As listed in the 1934 catalogue from James A Jobling & Co Ltd, this beautiful and rare glass vase in the Opalique colouring, mounted on a black glass plinth, which was an optinal purchase, and made to fit a wide variety of Jobling pieces of the time. The vase stands 11 1/2" high x 6" wide. It is virtually perfect, save for some very minor nibbles to the top rim, that could in fact be polished out if so desired. They're not glaring, or immediately noticeable. The plinth has one small chip to its rim at the top. The bottoms of both pieces are fine, though have time honoured scratches to the base edges. A superb and increasingly hard to find example of this Art Deco period piece. Because of weight and insurance constraints imposed by Parcelforce Worldwide (the required carrier), it is not possible to send this piece outside of the UK.
