American pipe maker Jody Davis certainly needs no introduction, as his pipes are some of the most sought after in the world. This is as fine example of craftsmanship as the other American pipe makers I am listing this week. This pipe is as mint condition as any estate pipe can be: round, centered, and clean chamber, craggy, clean, and crisp rim, thick walls, flawless original cumberland stem, deep stamps, lightly smoked, and sharp inner & outer edges. Jody makes a very clever mouthpiece with a thin button, and expert craftsmanship throughout (as the rest of the engineering on his pipes). Also, you won't find many of his pipes for sale on the estate market because when people buy them, they keep them! Then why am I selling mine? I don't smoke it often and it's on the large side for me...a Dunhill ODA capacity on an 841 platform. The shank alone is 3 1/4" long . A very fine smoking pipe, you won't be disappointed with this one.Please take a look at my other rare pipe auctions this week.
