Joe Montana! One of the greatest QB'S EVER! Who may have been in the same caliber as Joe? How about........ Dan Marino??!! This is the 1996 SPX insert card of Joe Montana Tribute autographed card. It was inserted in 433 packs! And this is also the 1996 SPX insert card of Dan Marino Record Breaker autographed card. It was inserted in 433 packs! You had to buy a case to be sure to get an autographed card. One case would have a Marino autograph and One case would have a Montana autograph....if you were lucky! Actually the packs were such you could buy a case and no autograph was in it. If you bought another case, you may get both autographs .........or none at all again! Tough pull!!! The Marino and the Montana autographed cards were the start of the autograph craze in the football trading cards! These cards have been encased in clear holders 1" thick, 6" wide and 3 1/2" tall.
