Torre used a blue ball point pen to autograph the sweet spot of this baseball. This baseball has been laser engraved below Torre's signature with "Joe Torre #6 Hall of Fame 2014 4-time World series Champ 1971 National League MVP 4,329 Games Managed". A nine-time All-Star, Torre played in Major League Baseball as a catcher, first baseman and a third baseman for the Braves, Mets, and Cardinals. He was named the 1971 National League MVP as a member of the Cardinals. After his retirement as a player in 1977, he managed those same three teams along with the New York Yankees before ending his managerial career with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2011.Torre's most successful stint as a manager came with the Yankees, from 1996 to 2007.
