IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SOMETHING "ASK QUESTIONS!" THANK YOU! You are bidding on a vintage built 1/25 scale Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Model Parts Kit. This model is being listed "AS IS" for parts or restoration ONLY! It is an original vintage model kit issued by Johan in 1959. This is NOT a complete kit. It is missing all 4 wheels/tires, both metal axles, 1 tail light, both chassis screws, shifter and other parts. The kit is painted poorly and needs to be stripped. There is excess glue marks in areas, some on the rear fenders too where skirts once were (now missing and not included). The driver's side window posts look like they were repaired at one time. They need a little work to smooth them out. There is a small piece broken our of the vent area just below the front windshield. I circled the area in red on the second photo. The chrome bumpers have paint and need to be replated. The last photo shows where the center pieces of the window glass are missing. This doesn't effect the look of the windows installed. This listing is for an "EXPERIENCED" model builder/restorer. Remember, this is an as is kit! Please view all the photo(s) very carefully. I CAN'T SHARE HIS ID (WOULD LOVE TO) BUT NOW THANKS TO HIM, I FEEL I HAVE TO EXPLAIN MY LISTINGS IN WAY MORE DETAIL! SORRY ABOUT ALL OF THIS TO MY LOYAL AND RETURNING CUSTOMERS. I'VE ALWAYS FELT THAT I HAVE BEEN VERY HONEST IN MY LISTINGS AND HAVE RESPECTED MY BUYERS TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY, BUT IT ONLY TAKES ONE TO RUIN IT FOR ALL. IT MAY BE SUPER GLUE, TUBE GLUE, WHITE GLUE, A SECRETE GLUE DEVELOPED BY NASA MADE FROM SAND AND PANDA URINE MIXED ON THE MOON BY ELVIS, JUDY GARLAND AND KURT COBAIN. "IF YOU ARE NOT A "SKILLED" MODEL BUILDER/RESTORER" AND CAN'T UNDERSTAND THAT MODELS PUT TOGETHER IN MY LISTING HAVE GLUE USED TO HOLD PARTS IN PLACE, THIS MAY NOT BE THE LISTING FOR YOU! THE KITS I LIST MAY HAVE "EXCESS" GLUE. THEY MAY HAVE BROKEN PARTS. THEY MAY HAVE PIECES INSTALLED "NOT" ORIGINAL TO THE KIT. SOME CHROME PARTS MAY BE PAINTED OVER. METAL AXLES AND HOOD CLIPS MAY HAVE RUST. WINDOWS MAY HAVE SCRATCHES OR CRACKS. SOME CUSTOMIZED KITS MAY HAVE BODY FILLERS INSTALLED. SOME EARLY KITS/PROMOS MAY HAVE BODY WARP. SOME BODY FEATURES LIKE DOOR HANDLES, SIDE TRIM PIECES ETC... MAY BE SANDED OFF. SOME BODYS MAY HAVE BROKEN AND MISSING WINDOW POSTS. IN MOST CASES PIECES WILL BE "MISSING UNLESS I SPECIFICALLY STATE NEW IN BOX OR MENTION THEY ARE COMPLETE!" MOST IF NOT ALL VINTAGE BUILDS WILL NEED THE PAINT STRIPPED. SOME PAINT MAY NOT REMOVE IN STRIPPER, BUT MOST WILL. SOME PAINT JOBS ARE BRUSHED ON THICK IN MANY LAYERS. AUCTIONS THAT INCLUDE THE ORIGINAL BOXES AND INSTRUCTIONS MAY HAVE CREASES, STAINING, PAINT AND/OR GLUE MARKS, INK MARKS, TAPE AND STICKER MARKS, SPLIT CORNERS OR OTHER DAMAGE!!! EVEN BRAND NEW, NEVER BUILT VINTAGE KITS MAY HAVE PARTS THAT ARE BROKEN OR SCRATCHED FROM PIECES MOVING/RATTELING AROUND IN THE BOXES FOR DECADES!
