If you are a serious John Deere collector and like to have "one of a kind" type things, then this is a "must have". Very large metal sign....118" (almost 10 feet) long by 30" high with a folded 1" lip around the outside. Not a factory deere sign that went to many dealerships, but one specifically done for Pope-Redpath dealership in Harrison Ohio. My best guess by looking at the lettering style is that the sign would have been painted somew in the med 40's to mid 50's, but that is a guess based on no firm information. The story goes that this sign was in front of their dealership until I-74 came through and they closed. If t would happen to be somebody out t from the Cincinatti area that has some info, I would love to hear it and pass it on to you. Not perfect, but shows VERY well. Some fading, scratches and a small amount of surface rust, but nothing close to rusting through. Would look great hanging on or in your shop. Being as large as it is, this item is for local pickup only although t is a chance I could help with delivery for a fair price ONLY if we agree first and if paid in advance. This was a 2 sided sign. I'm keeping one side for my collection and letting someone else enjoy the other. I have full confidence in this sign selling for a fair price so I'll start it at a penny and sell NO RESERVE so you can bid to own, not to wonder if it will ever meet reserve. I might entertain the idea of an interesting trade, however I expect payment if we dont agree ahead of the end of the auction. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding, Rick
