Mega RARE The Old Cellar Door Gang "John Denver Remembered" A TRIBUTE CONCERTto John Denver Two VHS tapes (US Canada Format) Running time Part 1 - 1:07 Running Time Part 2 - 1:24 Over 2-1/2 hours of awesome entertainment! In the early days of his career, John Denver, along with Bill & Taffy Danoff and many others, was a regular performer at The Cellar Door in Washington DC. Bill, who wrote many of the songs recorded by JD, and Kenn Roberts of the Hard Travelers, produced this tribute to JD which featured "the old Cellar Door Gang,"- performers and friends from the Washington area, plus musicians who had worked with John over the years. This tribute took place at the new Birchmere Music Hall in Alexandria, Virginia on Friday, January 16, 1998 and covered the entire span of John's musical career. Concert Performers included: Chris Nole, Pete Huttlinger, (two of JD’s band members) Paul Prestopino, Bill & Taffy Danoff (and their daughter Emma!), Tom Paxton, Dick Kniss, Hard Travelers, Mack Bailey, Jon Sommers and many more! This was a rare and wonderful “once in a lifetime” concert performed by musicians closest to John throughout his life. AND... it is the only place that we know read more
