For sale is an intriguing autograph from John Glenn Jr., signed just days after he returned to Earth after becoming the first man in orbital flight. The signature and inscription reads "Best Regards to Mr. Brown, John Glenn Jr.", and is written on a piece of gilt embossed leather made by one Eugene Fields Brown. Brown had this signed at a 26 February 1962 event involving President Kennedy in which Glenn was given the keys to the city of Washington D.C. for his accomplishment less than a week earlier. Accompanying the signed leather is an article Brown saved from the 27 February 1962 edition of the Washington Daily News, which outlines Glenn's trip to Washington. Quite unusual to find a Glenn autograph written so close to his signature accomplishment.
