From a fabulous estate sale, this absolutely stunning teapot was produced by John Maddock & Sons of England and is marked on the base as shown in inset below. I don't know it's exact age, but believe it is "vintage" rather than "old." It measures 10" from spout through handle, is 6 1/4" in diameter and is 5 1/2" tall. (For how much it holds, see question and answer below.) The fine white china is trimmed with gold and decorated with a multi-colored rendering of their "Blue Willow" pattern. In generally excellent condition with no cracks, stains, repairs, crazing, etc. HOWEVER, t is a teensy spot under the spout - either a flea bite or a missing dot of paint (it's too small to get a pic of). I can't even see it without a magnifying glass but discovered it when I felt a tiny roughness t Although it does not detract from this gorgeous piece, in my opinion, I am starting this teapot at a low price with no reserve. A really lovely tea pot to enjoy displaying and using!! ****To some locations this teapot may be less expensive shipped by Fed Ex, so please feel free to contact me through ebay or by email at: for a quote on the shipping cost by Fed Ex to your zip code.**** ___________________________________________________________________ READ BEFORE BIDDING (I know its boring, but you really SHOULD) : NO CHECKS!! ****IF YOU ARE WITHIN
