Beautiful Franklin Mint John Wayne Western Commemorative .45 Colt Single Action Non-Firing Replica Pistol or Revolver. This Commemorative .45 Single Action Revolver is authorized by the Wayne family. The 4 3/4 inch barrel length and serial number 151284 Pat SEPT 19. 1871, JULY 2. 1972, JAN 19. 1975. matches John Wayne's personal pistol which he carried in many of his western motion pictures. This Commemorative bears the John Wayne signature, Stagecoach with 6 horses on the barrel, Eagle and American Flag on the ivory colored left grip. It has been embellished with oak leaf scrollwork designs and 22 karat gold electroplated hammer, trigger and trigger guard accents as a tribute to the Duke and the American West. The pistol display pegs on the plaque and frame are Replica Colt .45 bullets. This Commemorative Pistol is in perfect condition but the display frame and the Certificate of Authenticity do have some minor blemishes.
