Johnson Bros England 1933 World's Fair Chicago Purple Transferware China Made Expressly For Marshall Field & Company, Chicago by, Johnson Bros England, A Century of Progress 1833-1933. Offered is an elegant 5 piece china Placesetting consists of: 1- 9" Luncheon Plate (The First Fort Dearborn 1803) 1- 6 3/8" Dessert Plate (The Chicago Court House 1865) 1- 5 1/4" Fruit Bowl (Art Institute Chicago) 1- Tea Cup , 3 7/8" wide, 2 1/4" deep (St Caudens' Statue of Lincoln) 1- 5 3/4" Saucer (Art Institute Chicago) All 5 pieces are in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The bottoms are marked "Made Expressly For Marshall Field & Company, Chicago by, Johnson Bros England, A Century of Progress 1833-1933" along with the name of the place or scene. This set was produced by Johnson Brothers England in 1933 only. This is a beautiful and elegant set to add to a collection.
