WOW! 's a great find from an old estate auction I recently attended. It's a full service for 8 of Johnson Brother's "Rose Bouquet" pattern. It's all , plus some extra serving pieces, 53 pieces in all if I counted right, and in outstanding condition. I'll get the only 2 flaws out of the way right now...one of the dinner plates has just the slightest scrape through the glaze on the underside of the rim, and one berry bowl has a circular shallow chip, again on the underside of the rim, less than the diameter of a pencil eraser. Other than that, these pieces have NO chips, flakes, cracks, spotting, or discoloration. The glaze is still brilliant, the china is the whitest white, and the reds, pinks, blues and greens are vivid. This set appears to have seen little, if any use.Doubt you'll be able to find a finer set, and not at my starting price, if you do. T are few, if any, scratches in the glaze on all of these pieces. No brown spots or staining. This is truly a set that would be a welcome addition to any table or collection. The underside is marked "Rose Bouquet Made in England by Johnson Brothers. A Genuine Hand Engraving, All Under The Glaze Detergent & Acid Resisting Coluor." More recent examples of this set mention "Ironstone"...it is not mentioned on any of these pieces.
