Johnson Brothers Hearts and Flowers Round Covered Vegetable Bowl Hearts and Flowers is perhaps Johnson Brothers' most popular pattern done on the 'Old Granite' speckled substrate. It was produced between 1967 and 1991 and is a Royal Warrant pattern. The Covered Vegetable Bowl stands 3" tall to the rim and measures 8-3/4" across the rim. The bowl and lid both are in outstanding, barely used condition showing no chips, cracks, repairs, crazing, stains or damage of any kind. Upon close examination I could not find any surface utensil markings in the glaze from past use. If you could find this Covered Vegetable Bowl from a replacement service you would likely have to pay about $150 for it. You can save a lot of money with this one and still have an extremely nice piece for your table or for display! Most English china is handmade. There is a certain amount of variation to be seen in identical items manufactured at different times. This is especially true of characteristics such as transferware decal placement, color intensity and plate size. Any given Johnson Brothers' plate can vary in size by plus or minus 1/8" from the 'advertised' size. If you have questions, please ask them before buying.
