This 8 piece set of Johnson Brothers Strawberry Fair red transfer ware consists of a large oval bowl (master berry bowl), a smaller round bowl (whipped cream), and 6 small bowls (individual berry bowls). The outside bottom is marked "Strawberry Fair", "MADE IN ENGLAND", "BY", "Johnson Brothers", "All decoration is under the glaze permanent & acid resisting colors" "A genuine Hand Engraving" "PAT No. 164860". All 8 bowls are in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks, chips, nicks and only the slightest and very lightest of scratches on the inside bottoms of some of the bowls. The large oval bowl measures 9 x 6 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches (L x W x H), the base is 4 3/4 x 2 3/4 inches (L x W). The bowl weighs 13.8 ounces. The larger round bowl measures 6 1/4 inches in diameter, the base is 2 1/2 inches across and it stands 1 7/8 inches in height. It weighs 7.2 ounces. The 6 smaller round bowls each measure 5 1/4 inches in diameter, the base is 2 1/2 inches across, and they stand 1 1/4 inches in height. All six bowls weigh 27 ounces (or an average of 4.5 ounces each). The total weight of the 8 pieces is 3 pounds. I am offering the 8 pieces for auction as a single lot, with the bidding starting at $29.95. High bidder gets all 8 pieces for the one money.
