I just purchased a large service of Johnson Brothers Staffordshire Ironstone dinnerware at a local estate here in Central Virginia. This auction is for a large meat/turkey serving platter in the Heritage Hall pattern, produced in England between 1969-1985 and now discontinued. The pattern is # 4411 and features scenes of vintage homes. This platter depicts one of the scenes, "COLONIAL OVERHANG", a 17th century example of a typical New England home. All of the pieces have a swirled raised edging and are hand engraved in brown multicolored tones. This serving piece measures 15 5/8" in length and 12" deep. The platter is in excellent condition, without chips, cracks or crazing. The surface is bright and shiny and shows only trace wear as would be consistant with very light use. The back is marked "HERITAGE HALL, MADE IN STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND, COLONIAL OVERHANG, 17th CENTURY TYPICAL NEW ENGLAND HOME, A GENUINE HAND ENGRAVING, DISHWASHER SAFE, IRONSTONE, 4411". This piece would make a nice addition to any service of Heritage Hall china. Please check my other listings as I have many more pieces of this set up for auction this week and I am happy to combine shipping when possible.
