We are full-time RVers and we made the Jokers and Marbles game since 2004. We have taught people of all ages to play and many have become quite skilled and as hooked on it as we are.Our game board is made up of six hardwood pieces, 16" x 4", hand-crafted from high quality imported Baltic Birch. Baltic Birch is a hardwood, used in cabinet making and for making speaker housings. The wood we use is not a solid wood, but is made of layers of the Birch, glued together. In a sense it is a plywood, meaning there are many plies that comprise the sheets we use. This process gives the wood stability and keeps the game pieces from ever warping and becoming uneven. Each piece is coated with clear polyurethane, preserving the beauty of the grain. This is the same way we have made thousands of game board pieces in the 11 years we have produced this product and sold it on Ebay.The game can be played by 2 - 6 players, one piece per player. The pieces are held together securely by fitting the dowel in the top piece into the hole in the bottom piece. The pieces are assembled in different shapes depending on the number of players.The game can be played as individuals or teams.
