This is a leather bound volume titled "The Laws of the United States of America in Three Volumes". This is volume #2, published in 1796, by authority in Philadelphia and printed by Richard Folwell, #33 Mulberry Street. This "Acts Passed at the First Session of the Second Congress of the United States of America". Measuring 5" x 8 1/4", the front and back covers have separated. Email for photos of outside of book. T are 576 pages, with overall condition being very good. The title page is signed by Jonathan Dayton, a delegate to the Constitutional Convention and was a signer of the Constitution. He was born in Elizabethtown, New Jersey in 1760 and was a member of the House of Representatives in 1788 and a Senator in 1799. We bought this book, along with other volumes from a Maine attic w they had been in storage for many years.
