Jorg Hysek Ball Point pen with case, complete with beautiful leather case/clip combination, both interior and exterior boxes, and warranty card and additional paperwork. Exellent condition. Jorg Hysek was born in 1953 in East Berlin. His family moved to Geneva, Switzerland, in 1960 as political refugees, just before the erection of the Berlin Wall. After two years studying micro-mechanics at the Bienne Technicum, he enrolled in art school in Germany. In 1973, his passion for sculpture brought him to study at the London Academy of Arts for two years. Back in Switzerland, he started working in the design department of Rolex, w he stayed four years. He then decided to create his own design company, Hysek Styling. In 1984 he won the Grand Prix of Geneva for a cuff watch designed for Vacheron Constantin; in 1985 he won the Jury's Mention for a pocket watch designed for Jean Lassale. With his reputation now firmly established, he began working with the most prestigious brands, including Brequet, Cartier, Tiffany, Tag Heuer, Ebel, Seiko, and Boucheron. In 1996, he designed the first products to carry his own name - the JORG HYSEK line of writing instruments. Introduced at the Basel Fair, the new products immediately captured attention with their sleek, modern styling and unique design concepts, making Hysek one of today's most avant-gardist designers.
