Canseco would then be named American League MVP in 1988. During the 1988 season Canseco became the first player in MLB history to hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases in the same season. Canseco would go on to play for a number of teams winning World Series rings with the Athletics and Yankees. Jose Canseco has hand signed this official MLB baseball and added the VERY VERY RARE inscription, The Chemist for his nickname he got around the league from trainers, managers and other players.
