Iam offering a rare and unique figurine from Josef Originals"AMY." Words cannot adequately describe the beauty and value of this piece. It is simply STUNNING!
This doll is an early example of the work created by Muriel Joseph George. Not sure of exact age, but in 1950 a bisque finish was started on these dolls and the glossy finish was not used any longer. This doll would be before 1960, as she has a beautiful glossy, finish. The luster is perfect, she is dressed with beautiful vintage shades of Green, Cream and gold trims all over her body and she is just lovely, while holding a basket of Apples. She measures Width: 4.5" & Height 6.25" She has black eyes, characteristic of Muriel and is signed on bottom . She has her name AMY on the side of her dress, which would place this figurines creation before 1960! She Also has her Josef Originals sticker on the side of her dress on the other side. She has brown hair and a cream and gold bonnet on her head. This is an absolute amazing example of their work. NO CHIPS, CRACKS, OR REPAIRS OF any kind. She stands about 6" tall and her base is 4.5" in diameter . t is crazing that is common with these pieces . Please look at my other auctions. I take p checks and paypal and money orders.
