This double black head horse pin resembles the Animal jewelry, which may be found in many Bakelite and plastics jewelry books. Original bakelite and plastic animals are considered one of the most desirable pieces of jewelry today. The smaller Pin measures 2 inches tall by 1.5 inches wide. The larger pin measures 3 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide. The heads are connected by a chain. And these pins are completely handmade carvings, not casted like the new plastic made today. We advertise and sell this jewelry as fun plastics. As we know, it is very difficult to find these pieces in real bakelite nowadays, but we would like to offer you the next best thing to the bakelite pin you have always wanted to collect. We dont know what type of plastic material it is made of or who produced it. But if it looks nice and you like it, who really cares? The items we sell are not the so called Fakelite plastic that is casted jewelry that is being sold as real bakelite which is meant to deceive the buyer. This jewelry was handmade in the 1960s and has been in our collection for over 15 years. It is very nicely handcrafted and wearable. This item is in perfect condition. We assume no reasonability thereafter.
