Joseph Gillott's Own No. 404 Pen Nibs with Box 49 (give or take one) of Joseph Gillott's Own No. 404 Pen Nibs. All nibs appear to be in very good, unused condition. All have imprinted on them "404 Joseph Gillott's Warranted" with an "F" at the blunt end. The box is included with this auction. All parts of the box are intact (t are no pieces missing). The box shows wear commensurate with it's age. One corner of the lid of the box is detached (please see picture...hopefully I have made a good representation of it....a photographer, I am NOT). Both the inside lid of the box as well as the bottom of the box display a marvelous statement "J. G. regrets to say, certain disreputable Makers have tried to impose upon the Public a spurious article, bearing the mis-spelled name of the Patentee...". The top of the box has aged (browned) more than the rest of the box. Most of the sealing paper around the box is still present, although this box has been opened. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask. My preferred method of shipment is US Priority Mail. If you are the winning bidder and would like alternate methods of shipment, please email me and I will consider it. With the Holidays upon us and so much stuff being shipped, I am compelled to require insurance on any item or multiple purchases being shipped together exceeding $50.00 in value.
