This is an extremly fine well documented chairpg 213 three centuries of american furniture. I was told the chair is New york, probably meeks. T are no labels I can see circa 1850-1860, looks like original needlepoint, of few of the very decorative pins are missing and the trim around the needlepoint is a little rough, the needlepoint has a couple of pic parks I would call them no tears or rips , the chair has its original surface t is one finial in the front missing , easy turned and reaplaces and yes they are turned finials, the chair is amazing the carving is deep and details, the spiral turnings are wonderful and unusual , the chair is fantastic , I will add dimentions later, this chair has been in our home for years, we dont use it, its mre of a decorative peace. shipping via greyhound at 95.00 local pickup is possible and free as well dont miss out on this chance! oh the chair is walnut and for you victorian collectors I have what might be a belter arm chair that is amazing in rosewood to be listed soon!
