JOSEPH MUGNAINI (Listed California Modernist 1912-1992). Church with Angels, 1959, 32" x 23", at bottom it states: Kistler Lithographes I.M.P. 1959 and signed in ink by the artist lower right: Joe Mugnaini. Mugnaini is a modernist that is well known for his collaboration with Ray Bradbury starting in 1952. We will simultaneously be selling three lithos by Mugnaini. If you buy more than one, they can all be rolled together in the same tube.Biography from Askart: Joseph Anthony Mugnaini was born in Viareggio, Italy on July 12, 1912. A few months after his birth Mugnaini arrived in the U.S. with his family. Settling in Los Angeles, he studied at the Otis Art Institute. Following service in the Army during WWII, he returned to Otis as an instructor and taught there until retirement in 1976. One of his pupils was Norman Rockwell.
