You are looking at a 6" Square Calendar Tile {December} blue & white transferware depiciting a Christmas scene by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Etruria, England. This one has been mounted in a frame to form a trivet & is signed on the back {Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, Etruria. This is one of 12 calendar tiles by Wedgwood & they date to the early 1900's or before. The surface of the tile has some scratching, not bad enough to pick up in the pictures. T is also a 2" stress crack {been t since manufacture} that is barely noticable & I tried to photograph it. Otherwise this tile has been well preserved. Only minor chipping at edge, due to protection of frame. Frame is wooden with brass corners & as I mentioned stands up to make a very nice trivet. Shipping weigh is almost 2 pounds. Allow $8.00 for postage. Thanks for looking. No reserve.
