Josip Broz Tito [1892 1980] was a Yugoslav revolutionary and statesman who served in various roles in the goverment of Yugoslavia. He served as the 7th General Secretary and Chairman of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia and as the 1st President of Yugoslavia from 1953, until his death in 1980. Listed for auction is the autograph of Josip Broz Tito signed on a commomerative stamp which commomorates himself. The stamp is nicely signed ''J.B Tito'' in blue fountain pen and is in fine condition. The stamp is one of a group of three which were sent to a young man who collected autographs during the 1950's and 1960's. The stamp will be accompained with a [copy] of the original transmittal envelope which is postmarked Oct 6, 1960, along with a [copy] of the original letter typed on the letterhead of the Permanent Mission of The People's Republic of Yugoslavia and dated 4 October 1960. The letter is addressed from the presidents secretary to our young collector and acknowledges the autographs of President Tito.
