While I don't claim to be an expert in all facets of vintage jewelry, I do have knowledge gleaned from these many years. All vintage jewelry items come from estates across the country, though can very widely in age from over 100 years to modern items. No reproductions. This means I do not purchase vast quantities of reproduction rhinestone brooches marked Weiss (or similar) and attempt to pass them off to unknowing customers as vintage. Some items are new with tags, but all are from estates and these items just happened to have never been worn. It is not uncommon to find items forty years old still with original tags, but it is also common to find my listing of new on card (or new off card) that were purchased very recently.
