In all of the 26 issues of this second half year of 1910 t are many great illustrations and advertisements. Some of the cover illustrations are made by Eugen Spiro, Max Bernuth, Max Feldbauer, Paul Rieth, Johannes Lippmann, Colombo Max, Hans Ulmer, Alexander von Salzmann, Josef Sailer, Franz von Lenbach and others. Some of the illustrations in the magazines are made by Karl Arnold, Juan Cardona, Lovis Corinth, Franz von Defregger, Julius Diez, Reinhold Max Eichler, Fritz Erler, Finetti, Geigenberger, Otto Greiner, Arnold Haag, Max Hagen, Thomas Theodor Heine, Eugen Ludwig Hoess, Heinrich Kley, Louis Legrand, Bruno Liljefors, Adolf Münzer, Richard Pfeiffer, Leo Putz, Paul Rieth, Arpad Schmidhammer, Giovanni Segantini, Paul Segieth, Ferdinand Spiegel, Theophile Steinlen, Julius von Szeremleh, Hans Thoma, Edouard Vallet, Erich Wilke, Ludwig von Zumbusch and many, many other illustrators. Ads for champagne, motor, pencils, cigarettes, lingerie, soap, shoes, liquors, chocolat, cameras, medicines etc. etc. ABOUT DIE JUGEND: The magazines you find in this bound volume from the Jugend Münchner Illustrierte Wochenschrift für Kunst und Leben were one of the most famous illustrated Art Nouveau magazines at that time. It was published by G. Hirth Verlag in Munich. People say that it started the JUGENDSTIL period. That was the German form of Art Nouveau. T are wonderful colour and b&w illustrations about contemporary art, caricature, poetry, theatre, novels, revue, nudes, artists etc in these magazines. Beside this magazine t were issued other magazines like Der Junggeselle, Le Rire, L'Assiette au Beurre, Gil Blas, Courrier Francais, Le Frou Frou, La Vie Parisienne, Ver Sacrum, PAN etc. etc. CONDITION: This bound volume is used but in overall good condition. It is complete with all the covers attached. Minor tears and spots. The usual browning. The back of the binding, the spine is almost loose and tfor the first magazine and the content are loose in this volume (but still available) and they also have some more edge problems.
