Jugendstil Art Nouveau Antique Saltglaze d Stoneware German Beer Stein c.1905 Description: Antique German beer stein made around 1905 - 1910. Very distinctive Jugendstil/Art Nouveau decoration in blue cobalt glaze over saltglazed stoneware. This is a well-known stein among the Jugendstil ceramics collectors. Very nice and elegant design of so typical Jugendstil style. Unfortunately we do not know who created it. Great pewter l id with four-leaf clower on it - symbol of luc k. Excellent flawless condition. 7.5" tall to the top of the thumblift, 0,5L capacity. Reference#: Condition: Excellent Year: c.1905 Country: Germany Height: 7.5 in Materials: Stoneware
