Racing suit used by Julian Bailey for the 1989 Macau F3 GP in which he came 2nd to David Brabham. The suit is a high quality Jaybrand Nomex III. I acquired this suit 2nd hand and used it for club racing in the UK in the early 90's. Since then it has been in a box! The Macau event was, and still is, very prestigious. Julian Bailey raced with the likes of David Brabham, Eddie Irvine & Alan McNish, to name a few. Julian Bailey, apart from having raced in F1, F3 and Touring cars in the 80/90's is also reputed to be/has been one of four "Stigs" used by TopGear All the sponsor badges on the suit are original and the "Watsons" name is embroidered in to the suit material, so must have been made specifically for the Macau event. The suit is in good condition (apart from one very small tear in the back) but doesn't conform to current FIA standards. It could be worn for track days etc. Size: Slim build and would fit someone 5'6" to 5'9" The label states size 36 Please note the info above is based on my own research and whilst I believe it to be true has not been verified.
