Up for Auction is this Jumbo Hand-painted Gone With the Wind Parlor Oil Lamp. These were called Jumbo because of their size being 13 inch diameter top globe and a 16 inch tall base. This is a very Grand and Handsome original Oil Lamp from the 1890's. This example is Hand painted with Roses and Leaves with Soft shading of Pink and Blue with a Golden background. The Roses are painted around the perimeter of the base and shade. The lamp comes in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, this has a height of 30 inches from the Brass foot to the top of the chimney. This lamp has been electrified with a switch on the top burner with one turn the Shade will light and another turn of the switch the Base will light and the third turn of the switch the Base and Shade will light. It is a wonderful example. Please ask questions before bidding. I describe as accurately as I would like an item described to me. I refund if I have misrepresented anything.
