DESCRIPTION: Original 11" x 14" Chapter 1 color lobby card for the 1941 Republic Pictutures' cliffhanger classic, JUNGLE GIRL , starring Frances Gifford, Tom Neal, Gerald Mohr and Trevor Bardette. One of the finest of all "jungle" serials, this sction-packed, 15 chapter serial -- based loosely on the Edgar Rice Burroughs book -- followed vine-swinging jungle girl, Nyoka Meredith (Frances Giffird) as she attempts to protect the fabled Nakros Diaomonds from the unscrupulous schemings of bad guy, Slick Latimer (Gerald Mohr). Poster material on this title is the scarce, particularly chapter one lobbies. Republic Pictures issued individual lobby card sets for each episode of their serials, but only the chapter one chapter lobby cards were printed in full color. The remaining cards were issued in varying duotone hues. This exceptional chapter 1 card features features Gifford in the scene with co-stars Bardette and Neal. CONDITION : Solid VERY GOOD condition with moderate border edge and corner wear; scattered border abd corner staples; minor border smudging; 1 3/8" vertical tera in the top border above the "E" in "JUNGLE".
