Note: "emovieposter" is only on our digital image, NOT on the actual item. Also, we are changing our photography setup! Images with a solid black background are ones that were photographed on our new black metal background. We now hold the posters in place with magnets (so we do not have to attach the poster to the wall in any way), which are small and round and resemble "push pins", but we assure you they are NOT! If an image has a black background, know that the odd circles in the edges of the item are magnets that hold it in place, and are NOT a defect! An Original Vintage Theater-Used Tri-Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") from Sabrina, the 1954 Billy Wilder (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award) romantic comedy ("Three Academy Award Stars in Their Greatest Roles"; "From the play by Samuel Taylor"; "Written for the screen by Billy Wilder, Samuel Taylor, and Ernest Lehman") starring Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn (in her nominated for Best Actress Academy Award role; in the title role as Sabrina Fairchild), William Holden, Walter Hampden, John Williams, Martha Hyer, and Joan Vohs
Important Added Info: This three-sheet poster was tri-folded only (which means t is one less vertical machine fold than usual). This means the poster has a significantly lesser number of folds than with three-sheets folded in the "regular" way, which is nice! Tri-folded three-sheets need to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 13" x 30", so they cost more to send than regularly folded three-sheets, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses. This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections.
Overall Condition: very good to fine. T is some slight darkening and wear on the part of the foldline that was on the outside when the poster was fully folded (it is the vertical foldline in the bottom right corner that runs from just above the final "A" of "SABRINA", and down to the bottom border). Otherwise, the poster is in really excellent condition, with very minor fold and border wear.
Want to know more about the condition of this item? This item has only a few VERY minor imperfections. We may have written just a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as they are very minor. Note that we are very harsh condition graders, and that our "very good to fine" compares favorably to many dealers' "fine" condition! You should look at our "super-sized" image of the actual item, which will confirm just how nice this item is! Three-sheets are posters that measure approximately 41" x 81". When the studios began making posters, they could only print sizes up to 27" x 41". So, in order to make the 41" x 81" poster they printed three sections of the smaller size that could be combined to form the larger poster (this is why they are called "three-sheets"). Beginning in the early 1930s through the 1980s, new technology allowed for three-sheets to be printed with 2 sheets (usually one larger section and one smaller section). Sometime in the 1970s some three-sheets were printed with a single three-sheet-sized piece. The number of sheets this poster is composed of is noted above. The separate pieces were designed to overlap, so that when they were glued together (or nowadays linenbacked together) they match up so that t...
