From Union Cutlery in Olean, NY -- an American classic -- a Ka-Bar straight razor in excellent vintage condition. Please note -- the blade is not blue. that's just a trick of the nasty lighting in my work area. There is one pin-point shallow pit on the front face of the blade and some rub-type stains on the inside of the scales, other than that this razor is in tip-top shape. The scales are original -- sturdy, straight and shiny. The blade is satin finished, and the tang and tail are factory darkened. The blade's bevel is very narrow and even. There is no discernible hone wear. The grind can be best described as "almost-wedge". The box is in functional but not beautiful, condition -- the graphics are largely rubbed off. This razor is shave-ready. Freshly honed and stropped with a shave-tested edge. An absolute pleasure to shave with, it lets nothing stand in its way.
