Kabamba Jasper Faced Rough - 1.8 lbs 's some new material on the market. It comes from Madagascar, you can cut just about anything you want with it. It's hardness is 6 - 6 1/2, picture jasper barely scratches it. Takes a great polish. Pretty much fracture free and we haven't seen any pits yet while slabbing it up. Dale said it's a little soft around the outside edges but that's it. This chunk will cut several more slabs for some nice cabochons. Measures 4" X 3" X 2 1/4". Photographed wet. Weighs just under 2 lbs.
