Karastan Persian/ Oriental 100% worsted wool pile rug. Made in the USA! Antique/ vintage circa 1970's in excellent condition. No wear, stains, or odors. The pattern is Black Kashan, design # 796. One corner is slightly darker but barely noticeable, probably from having been in a corner of a room. Rug is ready to be used as is. Rug is large, measuring 8' 8" by 12'. Has a background of black in the center and the border background is beige. See the detail in our photos. Beautiful, vibrant blues, rust, brown, and sage green. On the back of the rug a binding has been added (see pictures) which gives the rug more support. We also photographed the label. Flat rate shipping of $89 to the lower 48. Local pick-up available at no charge.
Note: T are no stains on the rug. Starting in one corner and running to the other corner of the short end approx. the last foot of the light beige background is about 2 percent darker than the rest of the background. It is difficult to notice under artificial light in my shop. Outside on the driveway in natural light it is slightly more apparent. I am sure this is from having this end of the rug in a corner without any sunlight on it. The other colors of the rug in this area are the same as the rest of the rug. It is difficult to notice but I wanted to clarify it. The back of the rug is uniform in color. The rug is in excellent condition with no holes, or wear. This high quality rug is capable of lasting another hundred years.
