Karate Kid 6 Piece Action Set 1986 Remco Play Set W/Box This auction is for a vintage 1986 Remco--Karate Kid 6 piece playset with the original set. This Very Hard to Find set contains the 6" figures of Daniel and Mr. Miyagi. Also included are a break away wall, break away chain and break away wood for them to use. Mr Miyagi's fly catching chopsticks with fly and instructions on how to use it are also in this set. One of the poles of the break away chain set is broken at the tab, and the broken piece is still in the base, so can be removed and glued. The karate moves are still working on both figures, but, unfortunately, Daniel's leg move does not work and his leg is in the extended position. It can be moved, but cannot stand straight. Both Daniel and Mr. Miyagi have some faded areas w their chests are not covered by clothes...as can be seen in one of the photos. All other pieces are in excellent condition. The box is in poor shape with lots of shelfwear, corner dings and small tears and creases. The cellophane is still intact and attached to the box and the graphics are still interesting and pretty cool. The back of the box gives directions on the uses of the set and highlights other figures that will be available soon. A cool set and an excellent addition to any collection.
