Holiday Greetings to everyone! I just finished some fresh 'kiln' baked * gingerbread corgi * cookie ornaments to help decorate your Christmas tree. My red & white corgi Rupert's ginger colored coat reminds me of the traditional gingerbread man. This ornament originated from pouring liquid clay into a mold. It is the second in a series of 6 - three boys and three girls. Each one is different and all are very cute. I took the ornaments and reworked their heads by adding corgi ears and detailing to turn them into gingerbread corgis. After the initial kiln firing, each ornament is individually hand painted with ceramic paints and topped off with three coats of a shiny overglaze. The second kiln firing seals in all of the colors making them permanently glossy with a finish that will last for many Christmases to come.Once finished, I used glue and glitter specifically made for Christmas ornaments to add a special sparkle to the icing details above their paws. It comes with a special gold ornament wire that has a small ginger/corgi colored crystal bead wrapped in the wire for hanging on your tree. The ornament is a very pretty girl ginger *corgi in a pink 'icing' dress holding a glittery red heart. She measures 2½" wide and 3½" tall. The ornament is almost flat (just like a cookie) measuring about 3/8" in thickness.. It is signed and dated read more
