The Antique white finish is decorated with hand painted flowers and vines
and accented with gold leaf to create one of Karges' most elegant headboards

The gold leaf has been applied by hand over
carved wood, polished with gesso, and "red bolle"
in the 18th century traditional method of gilding wood
The deep carving is exceptional and very beautiful
