KASTINGER
Hiking/Mountaineering Boots
MADE IN AUSTRIA
US Size 12
Wipe your eyes, folks, because these are the REAL DEAL! Deadstock, NEVER WORN, "Peter Habler" signature series hiking/mountaineering boots made by Kastinger, THEE name in superior boots. Absolute QUALITY construction! Peter Habler, for those who don't know, was a famous and world class hiker, having set records in these boots, like, Everest, for instance! These boots are a style that Habler not only popularized, but also a style that he himself helped in designing! These boots have NEVER been worn outside. T is virtually NO wear on the soles, the edges are still as sharp as when they were taken out of the box. The insides of the boots are sparkling clean. Even the outsides have zero to minimal storage markings!

These boots come with an insulated bootie insert for added winter warmth and cushion. How often do you see these in MODERN day boots?! You don't! The booties appear to maybe have a shiny reflective Kevlar type outside for water proofing, a thin padding inside, and then cloth lined for easy on/off with socks. They also have a thin ribbed rubber type non slip sole facing. One could probably wear these booties as slippers inside the cabin or lodge after a day's hike!

The boots have an arch support foot bed and are fully leather lined and padded. They can be worn with the extra bootie or, without the bootie insert for summer mountaineering; just adjust socks for thickness and comfort. T is a padded roll around the inside top ankle to keep out dirt and rocks. You can tell they are anatomically designed to fit heel and Achilles tendon snugly but comfortably and t is room to accommodate the ankle joints without binding.

The snow seal wax on the thread to waterproof the boots at the sole is still perfectly intact!
