Kate Greenaway: Under the Window George Routledge, London, 1878. First Edition. Binding: Hardcover. Book Condition: Very Good. Size: Octavo (8vo). Text is clean and unmarked. Previous owner's signature in ink. Pictorial boards with wear at edges of boards. Soiling in a few spots in margins, and a small tear in the margins of pages 56 and 57, but generally clean and bright. The first issue with 'End of Contents" on page 14 and the imprint on the verso of title page. The first of the only two books that Greenaway both wrote and illustrated and the book that touched off the Greenaway vogue in book illustration.
