This is such a darling and hard to find little Kathe Kruse doll! She is 35cm tall or about 14 inches. She is the Small German Child. She has brown hair and greenish brown eyes. Her face has had her lips and nose touched up. I think she is from the 1940's because of the way her eyes and face are painted. She has a material head, but it is hard to see the seam because of the heavier painting of the face and neck. Kathe Kruse dolls in the 40's were painted this way. The earlier dolls had a thin coat of paint and you could see the seam on the neck. Her face has no chips or cracks, but you can see that she has a little paint missing on the front of her neck. Her body is in good condition with no holes. She has a little soil from age. You can still see the original marks on the soles of her feet. She has her original underclothes. The red and white outfit were made by a wonderful lady in Germany. The polka dotted dress came with the doll and could be original, but I'm not sure. This doll comes from a smoke free home.
