Auction is for an exquisite original gelatin photo of screen legend KATHRYN GRAYSON circa 1940s. The photo is signed "Sincerely, Kathryn Grayson." The inscription is not recent nor is it secretarial -- it was written by Kathryn Grayson about 50-60 years ago. The photo and signature were obtained in-person by the previous owner. This item is an original gelatin photo . It is not a copy, not a print, not a re-strike. This i tem measures about 8" x 10" with the original border margins. The photo appears to be in very good or better condition. However, the back of the photo has remnant of some kind of impression (maybe a plate?); however, this imprint does not carry-over onto the front of the photo itself. T are no pinholes.

To prevent copies , the scans below are slightly blurred and darkened. The image quality is exceptional -- much better clarity, tone and resolution than the scan. The watermark "for sale by Edge-Online" does not appear on the actual photo.

This item was acquired from a larger estate collection of several hundreds signed photos. The items are original gelatin photos from the years 1920s-1960s. The previous owner was a war veteran who spent many years collecting photos signed by his favorite actors and starlets. Usually, he would write a letter to the person mentioning his war service and asking for an autograph. In many cases, the photos he received have an inscription thanking him for his service to his country. He also actively sought out signed items from other collections. The remainder of this important collection will be listed by Edge-Online throughout the month of April.
