KAYSERZINN PEWTER DRAGON-FLY BOWL ART NOUVEAU 1900s A beautiful Jugendstil bowl with water lily and dragon-flies. Produced by Kayserzinn Germany, a famous manufacturer of silver-enriched pewter. Kayserzinn was well known for his extravagant organic designs. The bowl has a moulded number 4245 (see picture) and oval Kayserzinn mark. This collectors piece is over a 100 years old and in superb condition. Thank you for watching and good luck bidding ! Kayser, Engelbert (1840-1911) Owner and manager of the leading German pewter factory, working since the late 19th century at Bochum, near Krefeld, on designs executed in the studio active in Cologne. In 1896 the studio introduced a production of pewter items with exquisite art nouveau forms (Storm und Drang movement - Jugendstil), winning considerable success in the exhibitions of Paris (1900) and Saint-Louis (1904), marking the international triumph of style applied to metal articles.
