Kaywoodie apple, 2008 This pipe is from the 2008 New England Regional pipe smoking championships held at the S.M.Frank (manufacturers of Kaywoodies) factory as part of the regional show and party Bill Feuerbach throws every year around Christmas. It’s a nicely cut apple with a deep, craggy blast. I can’t say enough about the blast . . . it’s really exceptional . . . as deep as any I’ve seen on a Dunhill. Just a little tooth chatter on the bit keeps this pipe from the pristine category. Smoked only once and in excellent condition.
