This auction is for a fabulous old knife found a couple of years ago at a local estate sale. Finally cleaning out the junk in the extra bedroom. We had looked it up before, but cannot remember exactly what we found. It is marked O Barnett Tool Co, Newark, NJ. On, what I think is the hoof cleaner, are two pat. numbers, the first I cannot read, but the second looks to be 962005. On the other side, it is marked Trade HHH mark. Now, I am only typing what I found in the book: Combination knife, first quality English Crucible steel blade, highly tempered, half polished, 1 large spear point plade, 1 each polished steel gouge hoof cleaner, screw driver and combination pliers and wire cutter, stag handle, German silver bolsters, brass lining. As you can see it is quite old and used. Looks as if someone replaced one side of the stag handle with a dark wood. The screw driver and knife blade is worn. Measures a little over 4" long. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email, as I am no expert on knives. I will, however, be listing some others in the next few days, so keep watching. Nothing fantastic, just cleaning out some junk. The book I found this in is PRICE GUIDE TO POCKET KNIVES 1890-1970 BY JARRETT dated 1995 . This knife is on page 22 and is listed under Keen Kutter knives. May not have been made by Keen Kutter, but it looks like it was sold by them. The price listed is $220. Of course, this one is worn and the handle has been replaced. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
